First Pendant Made

This is the very first pendant I have made. It was a great learning experience. I didn't glue the paper down first so it warped when I applied the diamond glaze over it. So this lovely oopsie is mine to keep. I made a few more and will list them in my Etsy shop.

I listed this one yesterday.

Chinese New Year Products

My mother made a few Chinese New Year decorations. One of them was featured on an Etsy Twitter Team treasury. It is the middle one on the first row.

For a larger view of the item click here. There are a few more in my Etsy shop as well.

Mini Cupcake Cards Set of Four

I listed these cute little cupcake cards yesterday. The idea was stuck in my head for awhile but I was finally able to make them a few days ago. They are 3" square cards with handmade envelopes. Too small to mail but they're great as gift cards or just as a little note for someone. I'm crazy for cupcakes!

It's a dreary rainy day in NYC today. I'm thinking about what to do for Valentine's Day with the hubby. It's on a Saturday this year; which means every place you go will probably be packed! Last year we celebrated the night before and it was not crowded in the restaurant.

I found this cute eHow article on what to do for Valentine's Day in NYC. It's a bit touristy for us since we live here but I may pull some ideas from it.

Here are some great fondue places that we might try.

Hopefully it will be a sunny and "warm" day!

New Craft Shelf/Desk

Remember my post about a new craft desk? Well it's finally done! Hubby took a few days off work to build this baby. Took two years for him to design it and discuss it with me and took him about two days to build it. sheesh. He bought all the materials from Home Depot and I think he said it was about a little less than $200. He bought white particle board to match the Ikea Billy bookcases that I have already. Looks quite seamless to me. Now to keep it organized and neat! I bought a cloth bin today so we'll see if it fits in the new shelves.

What do you think?
